Develop genuine clinical confidence in aesthetic nursing under the direct guidance of Dr Sana Pirzada. AHPRA 2025-aligned, hands-on, and tailored to your scope and career goals.

Program overview
Nurse mentoring in cosmetic aesthetics is a structured, personalised professional development program where a registered nurse works directly alongside an experienced aesthetic practitioner to build clinical competence in injectable techniques, patient consultation, facial anatomy, and complication management. Unlike a standard cosmetic nurse course, mentoring provides real-time feedback, supervised live-patient practice, and career guidance tailored to your individual goals.
Under the AHPRA 2025 Cosmetic Injectables Guidelines, registered nurses are required to complete specialised training and demonstrate competency before independently performing non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Our nurse mentoring program is designed specifically to meet these requirements — and go beyond them — so you graduate as a safe, confident, and fully AHPRA-compliant cosmetic nurse.
Program Structure
Our nurse mentoring program is structured across 8 comprehensive modules — combining evidence-based theory with direct supervised practice. Content is mapped to AHPRA 2025 guidelines and NMBA scope of practice standards for cosmetic nurses in Australia.
Is This Right for You?
Registered nurses transitioning from hospital or general practice into aesthetic nursing who need structured, supervised training to meet AHPRA 2025 requirements before treating patients independently.
Cosmetic nurses already working in aesthetics who want to improve their technique, expand their injectable repertoire, or develop advanced skills in areas like lip augmentation or facial balancing.
Registered nurses planning to open an aesthetic clinic or work independently who need comprehensive mentoring in both clinical competence and the business of running a successful aesthetics practice.
Dr Sana Pirzada is a highly experienced aesthetic practitioner and the founder of Aesthetics Consults. With over 15 years in cosmetic medicine, she has mentored hundreds of registered nurses across Australia, helping them build safe, confident, and AHPRA-compliant practices.
Her mentoring approach combines deep anatomical knowledge, hands-on injectable technique training, and real-world business guidance — everything you need to thrive in the competitive aesthetic medicine landscape.
You must be a registered nurse (RN) with current AHPRA registration. Under the 2025 AHPRA Cosmetic Injectables Guidelines, nurses must have a minimum of 12 months full-time general nursing experience before performing cosmetic procedures. Prior aesthetics experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
A cosmetic nursing course provides group-based theoretical education. Nurse mentoring is a one-on-one, supervised clinical experience tailored to your specific skill level, career goals, and scope of practice. You receive direct feedback on your technique in real patient scenarios — which is what builds genuine clinical confidence.
Under AHPRA 2025 guidelines, registered nurses may administer cosmetic injectables following an in-person or video consultation and prescription from a doctor or nurse practitioner. They do not need a doctor physically present for every procedure, but must operate within their scope of practice and under a valid prescribing arrangement. Our mentoring program prepares you to meet all these compliance requirements.
Program duration is tailored to your current skill level and goals. Most nurses complete the core mentoring program across 4–8 sessions. We build a personalised development plan during your first session to map out your pathway.
